Teen Gothic

Specifically for 3a, 3b, 3c, or 4abc

I’ve (22F) struggled with hair loss since I was about 12-13 due to genetics and medical conditions. It was, and still is, my biggest insecurity, but I’ve mostly learned to ignore it/work around it. However, I still have days where I feel like shit because I can’t do anything with my hair besides wear a hat or head scarf lol. And it gets really old. Especially after seeing all the beautiful and unique hairstyles of people in the goth community.

I’ve tried wigs and they’re ok until the itching becomes unbearable. I’ve also seriously contemplated just shaving my head (which I’ll have to do at some point anyway) but I’ve been dealing with breakouts and acne scarring for years so I feel insecure about exposing my whole face.

Does anyone else struggle with this or have advice/encouragement?

Hello there, I've lurked on this subreddit for awhile and I've been kind of lamenting the fact you don't really see any alternative people anymore, especially in Texas where I reside, it's hard to find people you relate to so I thought maybe, I could post something here for goth people around my age or older to gather and maybe find some like-minded friends? I am just posting to connect with goths living in the NYC area that would like to hang out someday or just gather friends maybe to go to a gothic club.

Hello everyone, I'm looking to expand my friend group. I've made some really interesting friends around Tucson,but I'm looking to find a few more that are interested in the trad goth subculture and things pertaining. I like going to the Surly Wench for fineline and 80s night as well as just hanging out there on Sunday. I like thrifting and making my own clothes, taking walks and visiting spooky or abandoned places,Bookman's etc. I also love music, and like to write it as well.
